Shifting question mark

How do people think shifting works? Does it follow the parallel universe theory here? If so, why are our brains capable of traveling to a different fucking universe? How does that even work??

And also why is this popular? Media comes from a brain, you’re not going to another separate universe dawg, just sounds like lucid dreaming with some HEAVY preparation in all honestly.

And again about the brain thing, it’s a weirdly common misconception about fictional shit existing in some other universe or plane of existence — why is that? Where did this come from??

Maybe it’s because I’m not a very spiritual person at all [except when it comes to near-death experiences but that’s extremely foggy territory, same with precognition] and strictly stick to science… but by god I do NOT get it. It makes as much sense to me as does astral projection… which is none at all.

And it’s probably also because I indulge myself in OCs and maladaptive daydreaming, but still.

tbh since I also suffer from maladaptive daydreaming, I thought shifting was a weird version of maladaptive daydreaming that had terms and conditions and also is just stupidly complicated, but no, it is in fact apparently different.
