Just realised I can blog via desktop not mobile (yet!)
Hey Everyone, Im Orchid Bashtova, or, at least that's what I go by on my urbex posts on instagram haha. I really should just talk about me a little bit since I haven't blogged yet or anything.
Instead of doing the smart thing (boo) Im gonna give you some random thoughts I had the other day and just see where the blog goes! (yay!)
I was with someone the other day just catching up with a friend, and they had told me someone I knew really didn't like me very much. This friend assumed I had a bad interaction, or maybe got into some strange argument with this person.
Here is the funny part, this person that had apparently had such strong opinions about me, I didn't know their name until I was told to which I replied, "I actually don't think I know who that is."
What I found most interesting about this was my friend was surprised that I really didn't seem to have much of a reaction about it. They asked me why it doesn't bother me and to cut it a little shorter I said "sometimes people just don't get along".
Now if you have been reading this far (Im genuinely shook) but I found a very unique takeaway from this:
When you listen to your favorite artist, you have your favorite songs, maybe some for when your sad or happy, but then there are some songs that just make you scratch your head. Most of these artists have really skilled and amazing talent and sometimes we the listener just don't understand a song as a standalone art piece.
People are just like the songs of your favorite artists. There are songs/people you go to when your upset or want to party. But there are songs/people you avoid, either because they are too intense or maybe just uninteresting.
One thing for sure, music can just be subjective. I know sometimes I turn on a new song and I just don't like it, no particular reason, I just dont like it.
Once again people are this way too, we all have a little tune and message we play in life and in a very similar way we are all art pieces and ideas. Much like that new song I didn't like, sometimes you meet new people and for lack of a better term, they just dont like your face. That's not a good or a bad thing! Sometimes people just don't like us and there isn't much to be done about that sadly.
So honestly, think about those people you never talk to, who clearly don't like you despite never taking a moment to listen to your full tune and just laugh a little! I tell people all the time "oh, he/she/they/it/whatever, just doesn't like my face". Not that it is automatically a bad thing, it just is what it is sometimes.
This is something I would go back in time and tell my younger self for sure! so hopefully this helps someone else out!
