How is someone born in 2010 on spacehey... Dude 13 year olds are literally GEN ALPHA shouldn't you guys be like watching digital circus and skibidi toilet while playing roblox instead of faking systems and mental illnesses and being like "omgz >w< im so inzanee silly scenecore webcore rawrzzz" I know DAMN well you weren't using the internet when ANY of this stuff was relevant. Like sure you can enjoy whatever the fuck you want but you people will NEVER understand this era of the internet the way those of us who actually lived it do.
Edit: I love my fans but I'm probably disabling comments now because the notification panel layout sucks and makes notif spam impossible to skim through so it just overwhelms me but to those of you who left comments with actual substance and weren't just coping just know I read them all and appreciate that there are people who even if they disagree are willing to have a conversation about it instead of just whining.

Some people are just voicing their opinions -- and that's fine -- but others are getting upset.
They have no power or authority to remove you from the site, and they're not stopping you from using it either.
To the people who are getting heated; do you realize you can easily choose to not interact with OP? They're not even taking an initiative to forbid 13 year olds from using the website. well hey, think of it as a tradition we're passing down. they may not have been here in its prime but don't you want them to be as happy as you were when you were into it? when i see kids getting into alt stuff and scene culture and old web (as much as they can now that so much of it is just gone or defunct) i feel a sense of joy, that it didnt die out with us and new gens will get to experience it and put their own spin on it. plus, i wasn't necessarily there for it myself, the peak era of scene culture in particular was 2007-2009 and i didnt get into it until 2010-2011, and i was only 11 then, i wasnt a cool myspace teen or anything, i was making invader zim fanart on dA.
its like, i had this stepbrother years ago who was getting into foamy the squirrel, and listening to skrillex, and saying "beast", and it blew my fucking mind cause i thought there's no way that stuff can still be what 12/13 year olds are into. but it didnt make me mad, it just made me laugh, you know? like, time really is a circle. but yeah, that would be my advice to you, is to look at it more like a family heirloom or some shit. the GIR blanket passed down from scenecore grandmother to scenecore grandaughter. etc.
I see your point and I agree that it really isn't as deep as it probably seems I was making it out to be. This was less of a "grrr i HATE these kids they can't like this stuff!!!!" and more just me talking about a specific kind of ~13 year old that this website seems to be full of. Like I said, I can't dictate what other people like/do, and I do think it's nice to see younger generations interested in the same things I was when I was younger, but they don't like it in the same way if that makes any sense. It's difficult to explain, really. This isn't to say that EVERY modern fan of this kinda stuff is like that because that's not true, but a lot of them are, especially on here.

I feel like being mad about someone faking a mental illness and wanting to be Scene or liking the early 2000s/2010s is wildly different. 13-year-olds can be annoying but I feel like bonding over the shared interest or Ranting about a part of the time you liked would be more fun 4 everyone.
It is wildly different, but I've noticed that they go hand-in-hand a LOT. Like, click on almost any profile of someone in my comments getting mad and they're exactly the kind of person I'm talking about.

As a younger person on spacehey, I really don’t see why it matters whether i “experienced that era of the internet” because at the end of the day most people on here just want to have fun and make friends, even though it might not give everyone a sense of nostalgia. Also, I’ve never seen a 13 year old that fits your description, I think you just don’t know how young teenagers act. That’s not to say that every 13 year old is so emotionally mature, a lot of them can be pretty dumb, however the majority of young spacehey users are generally pretty smart people, at least from what i’ve seen.
