MY MUSIC TASTES (i swear im not pretentious)

okay since i'm already that annoying person with like 100000 bands in their bio, i thought i'd continue the trend. i love seeing peoples lists of their favorite bands -- so, here's my favorite music by genre! (if you think i miscategoried the genres, my bad, im like.. sleep deprived rn while writing this.) i prolly left like 10000 groups out.

singer/songwriter/folk kinda stuff:

joni mitchell, elliott smith, tim buckley, jackson browne, cass elliott, janis ian, nick drake, bob dylan, joan baez, simon and garfunkel, cat stevens, big thief, jim croce, gordon lightfoot, sufjan stevens, jackson browne, don mclean, norah jones

metal (all metal sub-genres, and it gets more pretentious the longer you read on)

black sabbath, motorhead, metallica, megadeth, anthrax, judas priest, dio, pantera (don't come @ me, i just like their SOUND), scorpions, iron maiden, diamond head, doro/warlock, bastardane, mortician, mercyful fate, candlemass, black label society, excel, witchfinder general, witch cross, venom, faith no more

punk:

ramones, misfits, lash, sex pistols, descendents, dead kennedys, and a whole host of other stuff i'd probably get told isnt "real punk" so we'll leave it at that :)

grunge:

nirvana, hole, pixies, sound garden, pearl jam, mudhoney, alice in chains (but they're also metal kinda idk), queens of the stone age, sonic youth, silverchair, bush (?? grunge is hard to categorize), veruca salt, babes in toyland, the donnas, L7, the flys, smashing pumpkins, janes addiction
