AKUMA KUN PART 2

GUYS I FINALLY FINISHED IT. Akuma kun is another anime in the books and it was a wild ass ride! Shigeru Mizuki wasn't even expecting that!! We started where we left off, the sweet little daughter of the landlady's dad came back. Big Robert Johnson reference in that episode. Like blatant talking of the 27 club and the crossroads and everything. At this point my sister and I switched it up and started watching the dub. The English dub is a masterpiece. 'Tism boy sounds awesome especially when he tells little children they can't become demons. Mephisto's dad also fucks shit up with his awesome powers with the first akuma kun (Shingo) while the second one (Ichiro) sits his ass on the sidelines. Flash forward a few episodes and here's gay demon boy again kidnapping Shingo. (This is the finale btw) Strophaia is his name and attempting to be a good father is his game. Yes, you heard me right folks! Gay demon boy is actually Ichiro's real dad and Shingo is full of shit. But that won't stop Ichiro from fucking shit up for his (now fake) father. With the (sad and pitiful) help of Mephisto, and the power of friendship, they're gonna break through this massive barrier and get Shingo back!! Or so I thought. Akuma kun (Ichiro) gets a gun and shoots Shingo upon meeting him. Turns out that wasn't actually him. Ichiro disappears to hunt down his "dumb dad". Strophaia is causing havoc as he's casting some sort of mass destruction spell and trying to beat the hell out of whatever moves. Shingo gets caught in all that and dies when everyone finds him. Ichiro is like "aw man" and Mephisto's like "if I actually go crazy, kill me". He goes crazy and Ichiro shoots him with his magic holy water bullets. (Very emotional) The flute of solomon is glowing (this thing picks out whoevers gonna be the next akuma kun and conveniently chose Ichiro) and then it shatters. Strophaia is laughing at Ichiro and is telling him that he can't harm him without the flute. Ichiro goes "well that sucks for you cause turn around" and lo and behold, the flute is putting itself back together. He's like "ooh I gotta play from the heart" and everyone goes back to normal. (Even Shingo's dead ass comes back!) And Strophaia melts and they go eat ramen. (Shit you not, that's what happens) Post credit scene is the she-demon that's been harassing Ichiro finally gets what she wanted. (His heart)

This entire show has been the best. In more ways than one. It's very Shigeru Mizuki and yet it's intended for more mature audiences. (I have a good feeling that the original was more g rated) The art is impressive and the humor is spectacular. The storytelling is always good with Mizuki's work and I hope for another season. I highly recommend this if you're into more macabre and horror-ish anime. Until next time, stay in milk, don't do school, and drink your drugs!!
