Doppelgangers dwell
In dim-lit halls of hells
Where, if you're real, your life's forfeit
To less than savory proclivities:
Insidious stealth
Of ridiculous wealth
And unattainable levels
Of perfectionist productivity.
Snows that never melt
That burn welts upon the health
Of unfortunate fortunates
Who prey upon the insecure, like kelpies.
And selkies as well,
Who buy and sell intel
Aft damp, porcelain pedestals;
Which they coat in that ice-white filigree.

It's based on real life as well as a nightmare (heh) I had a bit ago, and I was kinda experimenting with syllables and rhyme scheme.
Whats it mean to you?

Well, I can't sort out every line, and I'm reluctant to say lest it either reveal my own ignorance or influence the meaning for others.
But to me, it sounds like wrestling with the shadow self in the aspect of fear of success and perfection. Although 'hell' is mentioned, it is neither the fiery sort nor the frozen wastes referenced in Dante, but rather the watery depths of the subconscious where selkies and kelpies are inclined to lure you down to the land of the shadow doppelgangers.
