    CHARACTER BACKGROUND!!!1!1!!!   

Sonic the Hedgehog is a 15yr anthropomorphic blue hedgehog that was first introduced to the public in 1991, created by Naoto Ohshima and Yuji Naka! The blue blur is very well known for his supersonic speed and carefree attitude. Fighting for freedom and what he believes is right. Embodying the spirit of adventure and heroism, making him a very beloved character in the video game world! (BLUD HASD NO FLAWS!!!!!!/j)

Sonic is what you can call a flat character. Meaning, 

"a character that is tested and battles many conflicts but ultimately stays true to their original convictions." 

Even throughout ups and downs, Sonic has always been true to his character from the very beginning. Not usually having a character arc that changes something about him. More so, he, himself, is the one inspiring others around him! Playing the role of helping others in their character development and arcs.

Despite all of this, he does have flaws. Sonic isn't immune to them, he can be very impulsive and impatient, leading to making brash decisions. But of course, just as he balances them out, he does have his friends to help him take a step back and think. Although, these traits do not in any way make him dumb or a rude!! That is something that was highly mischaracterized in the 2010s by the writers and fans alike. Yes, he can be cocky, but there's a line between being confident and being an actual jackass. Sonic is NOT Scourge/Anti-Sonic!1!!11!!!
