Altered Post: Thoughts on the Game Awards

So recently, I just watched the Game Awards (well some of it, I ended up missing some of it due to a power outage.), and when it came time to show what was game of the year, I was showing the end of it to Hoodini, and long story short, Balder's Gate 3 won GOTY, this was pretty surprising, but then again, when Balder's Gate 3 came out, there was a lot of praise to it (and a certain bear scene), but when we saw the BG3 won, Hoodini thought it probably didn't deserve it, and I was just conflicted, the only reason why is because Alan Wake 2 and Balder's Gate 3 are basically indie games in their own ways (although, I'm not too sure I can call Alan Wake 2 a indie game due to Remedy's history with Max Payne), but honestly, I was hoping that if Alan Wake 2 won GOTY, it would give it more attention, other then that, i'm glad BG3 won, but I don't know if it actually deserved that, but then again, if you're putting Spider Man 2 and Mario as nominees, It's surprisingly simple and just a contest between two games, other then that, Alan Wake 2 did win Best Narrative, Art Direction and Game Direction, so that's pretty good, anyways, I'm curious to see what Kojima has in mind for OD, and maybe, I might do a sequel to my Alan Wake 2 review thanks to NG+ finally having a release date, so, in no other words, enjoy this december, and remember to have the best day you can.
