Joey's Jabbers #2 - Gooooo FETCH!

For a while, I was actually trying to avoid SpaceHey thanks to all the spamming calamity last week. But it seems to be mostly taken care of, so we're back in business!

On Tumblr, I have a blog dedicated to this Bugsnax AU I have, and I recently tidied up the pinned post by making some graphics.

They're nothing fancy, really, but I think they turned out pretty nifty if I do say so myself.

I've recently been getting back into this show I loved as a kid called "FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman". It aired on PBS Kids throughout the mid-to-late 2000s, and I was absolutely hooked on it. So much so, my mom looked up if they were still doing auditions for the show, only to find out it'd been cancelled for a WHILE now.

I think that I loved most about the show was the fact that Ruff, the animated host, was able to interact with real life kids. Turns out, a little bit of that magic was lost when I found out the voice actor for Ruff just read the script in a soundbooth in the set for Studio G and bantered with the kids and all the animation was done in post-production. But still pretty cool for the time.

"Fetch" is something I'd like to call a "seasonal hyperfixation". I only get hyperfocused on it every once in a while, but once the hyperfixation hits, boy, does it hit HARD. I think my only other seasonal hyperfixation is "The Magic Treehouse" of all things. I was really into the show in I want to say 2016? Then 2018, and then 2020 again. I guess this hyperfocus kicks in every two years, but I'm a little behind.

I've been browsing old Archives of the Fetch webpage on PBS Kids, and I gotta say, I love the vibe. I think I might try to theme my page after it, if I wasn't so lazy. No promises, though.

That's enough of me rambling about old reality game shows for kids. I got a blog to theme, dangnab it!
