I need some tips on how to make a side character-which is a significant person to the protagonist but is not seen to interfere with her life experience enough to make her a secondary protagonist-affective enough so the cliffhanger finale, that involves the side character in quiestion much more than she's ever been involved, doesn't seem a little out if the blue and/or improvised
