blog entry no. 1: the very first one!

lemme introduce myself in case this is the first time you're seeing anything of me and you haven't seen my profile before this. my name is leaves/leaf, i am 22 years old, and i go by he/she/they pronouns! no preference, i just ask that u alternate. i graduated w a bfa in fine arts in illustration and am looking for work, but i will not b talking abt much of that for the foreseeable future. i mainly want to keep this blog centered around my interests and hobbies, and the occasional brain dump at around 3 am when i think i've hit an epiphany. what can i say, i kind of missed having a corner of the internet that's more of an escape. i remember being 13 on deviantart in 2014 looking at fanart and collecting as much stamps as i could (an interest which i still retain), and i sometimes think back to the memory rather fondly. well, as fondly as i could've been, within reason. not everything's sunshine and rainbows for anyone, let alone when you're 13. on deviantart. *shudders*

but i digress. the main thing i want to try doing with this spacehey doodad is to try to keep a book log of sorts. i have a nasty habit of putting down a book, thinking i'll pick it up when i can, and then by the time i do it'll be a year and a half and i don't remember jack shit about what happened when i read it last. im hoping this will help me counteract that.

and i know there's goodreads and i do have an account but i have people i knew from high school following me over there and the mortifying ordeal of being known is STRONG...i know the same could be said abt any social platform or blog site but doing a book/reading log here is also cooler? so for now spacehey wins

so yeah, my first book log is probaaably gonna be on me picking up the fellowship of the ring again! either that or continuing the daughter of the moon goddess by sue lynn tan.

ok i have more thoughts but im gonna try to take a nap ive been working on my spacehey profile like. literally all night BYEEEEEEEE
