I am Proud

Recently I found a blogpost while aimlessly wandering this website and I found someone having a mental crisis. I made a comment on the post comforting the user. I told them that how they feel is valid. I told them why they mattered. Today I read their reply and they were extreamly greatful for me reaching out. I am on the brink of tears. I finally was the person I needed when I went through what I did. I helped to damage the cycle of trauma. I feel proud of myself and also proud of the person for being able to accept what I said because I know its hard to accept comfort when you are in those kinds of situations. If that person is reading this. Thank you for letting me be a good person. For everyone else. Thank you for reading.
