Dude??? QWERTY???

I'm planning on learning dvorak to force myself to touch type and that makes me wonder why we kept with QWERTY long after typewriters went out of mainstream view? Don't get me wrong, even though its inefficient I've been typing with it for so long idrc anymore but still??
