if you think about it, its everyones birthright to be loved by someone

if you think about it, its everyones birthright to be loved by someone. its practically written into our genetic code to feel the need to protect and nurture our offspring (i think.. i cant remember the last time i took a class in biology). wouldnt it take more effort to not give that love? where does the disconnect happen? how can you look at an innocent soul you brought into this life and treat them as though theyre at fault for every bad thing thats ever happened to you? a child doesnt know any better, all they have is their parents, so where -- where does this disconnect happen?

i like to pride myself on being able to see things from different peoples point of view but i just cant seem to understand a neglectful parent, a loveless parent. arent children supposed to be born from love? (im not talking about cases of grape, please lets not go there)

i cant see myself ever treating anyone the way i was treated by my mother. sometimes when i got real angry as a teenager i would tell myself that when i get the chance id throw all her words back in her face as revenge but these thoughts are always so fleeting because i just wouldnt take any solace in being that cruel even if in the back of my head i hear a voice saying she deserves it. i dont know if i can forgive her but i know i dont want anything bad to happen to her, i wish her peace even if all shes given me is heartache.
