◥✥◤ INTRODUCTION POST + BYI ◥✥◤

Hello everyone! i thought it would be fair to tell you a little bit more about myself, since i appreciate it from others as well.

About me:

My chosen name is Sol, i am 21 years old and use any pronouns. I don't really get the idea of gender, therefore you can't really misgender me! Neat. I identify as bisexual and have been together with my darling for almost three years now. I was born and raised in Poland, though moved to Germany at 13 years old. I can speak Polish, German and English well and i am slowly learning Spanish, too.

In my lifetime i have studied biotechnology and dental tech. Neither became my profession, sadly, i am still looking for a career path suiting me. In my free time i love to read books and comics, write poetry, draw, play video games and learn about various topics (like history or entomology). I work out from time to time and love to go cycling. I do origami, crocheting and stitching too, though those have been put aside in favor of other hobbies at the moment.

I collect (or maybe hoard) many things: vinyl records, cassettes, playing cards, tamagotchi, minerals, lego ninjago minifigures, stim toys, (abandoned hopes and dreams...), and though they usually aren't a lot, i would love to share more about them if you were insterested.

About my interests:

  • Art: i draw and paint digitally and traditionally. I am fascinated by modern and early postmodern european art and polish poetry. Horror art is my recent love. I am all in favor of critical media analysis and enjoy interpreting it.
  • History: i am very interested in the history of my region and surrounding countries, with focus on medieval ages.
  • Music: power metal, polish rock, indie and occasional popular 70s-90s music dominates my playlists. I also enjoy ballet and musicals :)
  • Games: indie games, especially roguelikes and metroidvanias. I have been getting into indie horror as well.
I am not bound by genres and love to explore any recommendations :)

About my existence here:

This is my primary social media, though i have discord and steam as well.

On my blog i will infodump, vent and talk about my day, kind of like in a diary. I primarily use the 'Blog' feature and my posts are... long. If you think this intro is too much, trust me, it won't get better.

I appreciate people reading my posts, as i also read every blog and bulletin i see. I am always happy about any insightful comment :)

I may talk about some heavy stuff - mental illness or horror related, but i always do my best to tag everything. Feel free to tell me if there is something i have missed.

I am quite selective with people i add, i want to find people i really click with. If we are friends on here, feel free to IM me anytime!

My blog is inspired by plastiboo and vistazone. Go check them out!

Before you interact:

I am autistic: it may lead to some misunderstandings while communicating with me. Sarcasm and irony are often lost on me, sometimes i can't express myself correctly as well. I try to assume the best about people and always ask for clarification!

I don't add minors: or people without their age listed anywhere. It's often because i don't feel like i have a lot in common with teens + i would feel responsible for their wellbeing, as i may post quite heavy stuff. It's for your and mine comfort.

Warning!
If you enjoy shock content: like gore, please do not interact with me. While i do think that there is a place for drastic imagery in art, i do not think entertaining yourself with real people's suffering is anything to be proud of. We won't get along well and i think less of you for what you are doing.

If you are a proshipper(?): comshipper, pro-para, whatever you want to call yourself nowadays, please don't interact with me. As with the point above, while it is possible for media to rightfully contain despicable things, if you enjoy media exactly because of the shock value & defend them because of your enjoyment or 'coping mechanism' (instead of acknowledging the content as rightfully disturbing and what it means in context/subtext), please leave me alone.
