Holy shit. What else can I say? Tipper never disappoints, but I saw many people saying Tipper’s sets would essentially be the same as night one and night three from Tippsgiving, which is an insane assumption to make if you know anything about Tipper. Still, they couldn't have been more wrong. Neither set was confirmed on what type they would be, but looking at the support led most of us to believe... » Continue Reading

I’m off way too many vodka redbulls but marble bar in Detroit is so fucking sick. Highly recommended to anyone living anywhere near Detroit. The vibes are immaculate. » Continue Reading

I’ve been trying to read more this year, and I figured I’d make a list of a few books I’ve read and enjoyed recently. Roadside Picnic by Arkady and Boris Strugatsk I thought this one was really good, one of the best I’ve read recently. Russian authors really know how to create a » Continue Reading

Playing through Castle Crashers and Halo 2 again is like mainlining a potent dose of nostalgia straight to the brain. A journey to a simpler time, back when my universe wasn't such a tangled mess of bullshit. Castle Crashers- what a game. Arcade beat ‘em up bliss. A veritable cornucopia of characters and weapons guarantees each playthrough an entirely unique adventure. Sure, it's designed for co-o... » Continue Reading

The Rendezvous festival at SOSMP in Florida this past weekend was an unforgettable experience. Allen Mock and Herbalistek were some big standouts from Friday's line-up; don't sleep on them. I finally saw Mickman for the first time Friday night, and his set was nothing short of incredible. The b2b done by the VJ team all night was totally on point, and between Mickman and Detox Unit, I'm not sure w... » Continue Reading

I saw Godzilla x Kong with some co-workers today. I thought it was a dumb but fun film. They focused more on the monsters, which is good, but most of the human stuff was not very good. Parts of the film felt like a proof of concept for what a kaiju movie with little to no human drama could be like. There is a lot of good visual storytelling throughout the runtime, and I think that's GxK’s biggest ... » Continue Reading

I had tickets to see Resonant Language last Saturday at the Tangent Gallery in Detroit and I was so hyped about it. It was gonna be a killer set. The lineup was crazy. Then ResLang’s flight got canceled and he got replaced by Freddy Todd and what a downgrade. No hate to him or anyone that likes him but I was not feeling his set at all. It was just bass. I couldn't hear anything else. He played a s... » Continue Reading

I saw the black and white cut of the new Godzilla movie last night, and man, what; what a beautiful film. I think most of the movie looks nice in black and white and it's very appropriate for the time the film is set in, but all of the scenes with Godzilla look absolutely stunning. It truly is a wonderful time to be a Godzilla fan. As a side note, a Godzilla DLC released for Minecraft today. What... » Continue Reading

Going to see Godzilla Minus One again with my friend who I grew up watching Godzilla films with. I've already seen the film and fell in love with it immediately, so I can't wait to see his reaction to it. This film is truly something special. Even if you aren't a fan of the Godzilla franchise, I implore you to see this film if you have the opportunity. It is peak cinema and proves that monster mov... » Continue Reading
