Palestine as a nation has absolutely 0 basis historically.
Not only has the region they claim is their land been controlled by the British, Ottomans, Byzantines, Romans, Judaeans and Canaanites back-to-back (Aka, meaning they have never been a country until recently), but the word "Palestine" is a latin word coming from Philistine, aka the greatest enemy of Ancient Jews and was used by the Romans to mock Jews after they were expelled due to the the Bar Kokhba revolts.
And while there is the claim being made by Palestinian supporters that they have ethnic-historic claims to the land, the Arabs whom we call Palestinians are literally Egyptians, Turks, Syrians and Jordanians for the most part.
None of these nations (if this next part is false and there is verifiable evidence to prove me wrong, please cite it in the comments) ever mixed with Canaanites, and if they did, the Egyptians would have been the ones who mixed with the Philistinians (Ancient Canaanite group) most likely, who were settlers from the Aegean who came after the Jews did.
With this considered, the Palestinians whom claim that Israel is their land have absolutely 0 ties to the land historically, and therefore cannot pull anything out of history for their claims to the land without being fallacious.
If there is new information given to me in the comments I will update this accordingly, and constructive criticism is always appreciated.

you cant just make claims like this without linking sources

for the first paragraph i can, for the second one i can add onto that and say that most palestinians families came during the invasions by muhammad of israel where they colonised it and brought settlers which would line up with hadith.

and where are your sources for these claims

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Jerusalem_(636%E2%80%93637) if arabs had the land for nearly a millenia, they would have colonised and settled in it.

you should probably cite more than one source if your source is wikipedia + where are the sources for your other claims

wikipedia has citations on it already + sure, https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/the-invention-of-the-palestinian-people/

this might be true, but this only works if the conflict was ACTUALLY about land. its not. its about how ever since the creation of the state of israel, arabs have been treated unjust and how the israel government has been genociding and ethnically cleansing them for years. i dont support hamas, but hamas is not the palestinians government, and attacking a defenseless palestine for hamas's actions is quite literally just genocide.

"this might be true" it is true
"this only works if the conflict was ACTUALLY about land." it is partially about entitlement of land
"arabs have been treated unjust" unjust? that's a lie. arabs are entitled to the same liberties as jews in israel, they are allowed to hold government jobs and serve on the supreme court.
"the israeli government has been genociding and ethnically cleansing them for years" another falsity. to ethnically cleanse means to remove an ethnic group from an area either partially or entirely and this has been debunked in my previous statement, and for it to be a genocide of arabs, israel would have to according to the UN create "acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group". if this is true, then that means that arabs would have to be denied things like healthcare and jobs in israel, which does not happen.
"i dont support hamas, but hamas is not the palestinians government" they were elected by gazans, they literally are a palestinian government
"attacking a defenseless palestine for hamas's actions is quite literally just genocide." they arent targetting palestinian civilians, gaza has awful infrastructure and hamas, being a terror group, embeds itself into things like school and hospitals. to avoid civilian casualties the IDF quite literally shoots itself in the foot and tells everyone ahead of time their plans to save these people. they even ran an operation into al-shifa to get rid of hamas and give civilians better healthcare. and as i said, for it to be genocide of arabs these deaths would have to be done purposefully and there would need to be domestic restrictions for arabs.

What is the point of this post?

to debunk the pro-palestinian claim that palestinians have been in the lands longer than jews
by Matangi; ; Report
Okay? But like most of the Jews in Israel also moved there recently?
by dreamspider; ; Report
ok...? our ancestors were there for millenia and there has been Jews there even after the expulsion of us by the Romans, we have historical claims to the land
by Matangi; ; Report
Okay so what, no Palestinians have ancestors who lived there before them? Where did they come from then?
by dreamspider; ; Report
palestinians don't actually have ancestors who lived in Israel at the same times we did (as in, they didnt have ancestors in Israel from around 1209BCE - 136CE). They are arabs. They came during the Muslim conquest of Israel and have either stayed there or immigrated afterwards.
by Matangi; ; Report
And to answer your question as to where from, they came from Arabia if from the Muslim conquest and subsequent colonization, or from Jordan, Lebanon or Egypt afterwards.
by Matangi; ; Report
So you are saying that Palestinians are basically an ethnic group that came to Israel hundreds of years ago and has been living there ever since... how is that different from a historical basis?
by dreamspider; ; Report
because they are colonisers lol
