CEASEFIRE: how to FAX Congress for ~free~

ok i came across something on tik tok that i think came originally from tumblr. (i'm tired i'll edit it in later)
basically its another strategy in calling for a ceasefire and disrupting buisnesss as usual. Pressure needs to come from all sides, emails, calls, fax, social media pages, if you see them in town enjoying their peace you disrupt that peace (nonviolently of course).



you can fax your reps for free and you can send up to 5 FAX A DAY with a website called faxzero.
that is a lot of paper. if you don't know, office paper can get expensive. even if the office had a fax converter that turned the fax into pdf, those pdf's would take up a lot of storage in their software causing other programs to lag.
go to faxzero.com and you get the options of
"fax your congressperson, senator, or governor."
if you click on each of them it gives you all the options for all the states, find your reps and and send a free fax.

when you click their names it fills out all their info automatically , all you have to do is put your information and upload your file.

you could write something yourself or you could find a pre written letter such as this one and edit it so that you have the corresponding name to the person your sending it too:

personally i used this template and formatted it to make it longer and i added my zip code under my name too.
the zip code is important so that it can be tallied. also make sure to say that you are a constituent!

I also took the text from the email that was prewritten by the uscpr website (btw, send that email y'all) and copy pasted it into a word file that i saved as a pdf and sent it as the 2nd file also making it a little bit longer just out of spite to take up space on their paper or their computers.

After you send, check your email and click the link that faxzero sends because it won't get sent out until you do.



when it goes through you'll get an email that it was successful.


this is a low effort way to disrupt buisnesss as usual, but A LOT of people would have to do this in order for it to be disruptive. (psst, that's you).
imagine if more and more people did this in conjunction with emailing them, calling them, calling them out on their socials.

they are already feeling the pressure...
it's up to us to keep the momentum.
