Callousness (written in 2012)

All you need to do,

Is call my name.

Be it a whisper,

A cry,

Whimper,

Or sigh.

I weep,

Scratching at my chest.

To remove this pain,

Means I must remove my love.

Neither will dissipate.

Neither will sink.

I will not allow it.

Yet I feel your eyes,

I feel them in my love and pain.

My love and pain,

Feels yours as well.

You do not call.

You do not whisper,

Cry,

Whimper,

Nor sigh.

I wonder why.
