Is it just me or... does anyone else hate it when people call you emo and you're simply not emo? Me my sense of style is a mixture of grunge and mall goth (idk what to call it), and people ask me if I'm emo, I simply say no, but then the next day they'll call me emo even though I told them I'm not. I don't know. It's lowkey irritating me a lot.
Is it just me or...?

It doesn't particularly bother me to be mistaken as emo or goth by rando people but it does bother me when emos and goths somehow decide that's my fault and label me a trend hopper or poser. I'm not "posing" as anything I just put together whatever makes me happy and I wear it, most of it's more inspired by Japanese alt fashion styles anyways.

yeah, but i really dont mind it. i actually like how emos look and dress (if i really put time into it, i could achieve that look), but sometimes i get called emo just because i wear all black and maybe some fishnets here and there. LMAO. people dont really know what emo IS, and they're just saying that because that is their version of "emo." but obviously, if you dont think you're emo, just shrug it off. only just remember that they're likely trying to make you irritated, and you do you
