it's so disgusting how people suddenly think it's so edgy and different to post stuff about Eric Harris and and Dylan Klebold (the columbine shooters) simping over them and acting like they're cool/making jokes and saying things like 'they're so silly :3' 'i love them' 'legends'. Even when it's bait it's just as sick. Think about the victims. Rachel Scott, 17. Daniel Rohrbrough, 15. Dave Sanders, 47. Kyle Velasquez, 16. Steven Curnow, 14. Cassie Bernall, 17. Isaiah Shoels, 18. Matthew Kechter, 16. Lauren Townsend, 18. John Tomlin, 17. Kelly Fleming, 16. Daniel Mauser, 15. and Corey DePooter, 17. They were just trying to go to school they didn't deserve to be murdered.

And the people who use the excuse that the boys were bullied and reacted out of anger, Being bullied is not an excuse to take innocent lives, there was absolutely no justice in what those boys did and it most certainly does not make them legends. One out of every five students report being bullied. Do you see them shooting people? people who weren't even the ones who bullied them in the first place? neither Harris nor Klebold cared who died. They wanted to kill everybody, Harris was a psychopath. It makes me genuinely sick to my stomach seeing people make these posts and fan accounts/bait accounts it's horrible. just today I've seen at least 10 posts about those boys acting like they're some sort of legends or 'attractive' and at the same time, I've seen videos from survivors of the shooting and this poor girl who just survived her second school shooting in three weeks. How horrible is that? The damage Harris and Klebold did not just occur that day on April 20th, 1999. Its influence continues until this day.

It has had a lasting effect on school safety and inspired many copycats. On April 17th, 2019, just three days before the 20th anniversary of the shooting authorities had to close schools across Colorado due to a threat of an 18-year-old woman armed with a shotgun who was "infatuated with Columbine." She was found dead later that day from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Several school shooters before this were fascinated with Columbine and had researched it before their own shootings. Including the Parkland shooter, who studied the tactics used in the Columbine massacre before killing 17 people in his own. The Sandy Hook shooter who idolized the columbine shooters and had a Tumblr page dedicated to them (which is another reason why I am so disturbed by all these columbine accounts suddenly popping up) who killed 26 people, twenty of them being between 6 and 7 years old those poor babies may they rest in peace. A North Carolina shooter who was so obsessed with Columbine he took a vacation there and fantasized about "finishing off" the survivors. And the perpetrators dressed in trench coats during the Santa Fe shooting just like Harris and Klebold did. As well as many more.
