The brazilian musical movement, specially the hiphop, is just one of the most amazing things there is in the world and I just can't explain what I just felt hearing "Onda" from "Cassiano", after so many years listening to "Da ponte pra cá" from Racionais MC's.
It is such a simple thing, but I wasn't expecting it. Basically, a lot of the songs from Racionais (and HipHop in general) mention artistis they got their insipration from, or just smaller artists they relate to, so I made a kind of list of the artistis I heard the most on their songs and was just listening to them, until I got to Cassiano and started to listen to his most listened song.
I immediately recognized it as the sample from "Da Ponte Pra Cá" and it was so awesome that I really can't describe it. The way that they (rappers/producers) can pick up a sample like this and transform into something nothing like it but just as good (and even better) is just incredible and I love it.
You should really give a chance to Racionais if you like rap/hiphop or something like that, they are a group from 1988 that practically invented hiphop here, and even brought even the "trap" genre back in 2014 when it wasn't so famous here like it is today.
And also, if you'll try, you should really search for the lyrics of them, they are REALLY good. And also, I recommend you to first listen to "Voz Átiva" (this song is very like an introduction to what they say and believe) and them go to "Sobrevivendo no Inferno" (my favorite album).
