best mac and cheese toppings

i really wanted mac and cheese for lunch yesterday but i had somewhere to go so i waited to eat mac and cheese until dinner. the box mac and cheese is really good and when i made it yesterday i put small pieces of bacon in the pot and i think it was the best mac and cheese ive ever had but i think i need breadcrumbs or something else because something is missing

my cousins on the other hand are insane and put ketchup in their mac and cheese and i cannot understand why.
