i feel like i gotta get used to posting on this site if i want to use it beyond checking it every so often for notifications and occasionally looking around peoples profiles to see if theyre cool or not. so, therefore heres my first real post! about specifically not knowing what to post. what a perfect topic! i used to have to write things regardless of any topic back in elementary school and holy shit did i write a lot about lack of inspiration. i like to think it made me more introspective and keen for details but honestly i think it just made me less bored about writing. which is lucky for me cuz i also test really high with my writing scores. but thats only when im writing like, an essay for school, instead what you get is my ramblings. oh well. ANYWAYS i think i need a reason to post, otherwise im gonna forget SOOOO introducing
THE DAILY GRIEVANCE EP 1!!!!
i figure if i ramble about something everyday that mildly inconveniences me id come back so todays topic is "WHY DO N64 EMULATORS SUCK ASS?!?!?!?!?!?"
like i fuckin swear i spent TWO HOURS trying to find an emulator that ISNT project64 to run ONE (1) mario 64 romhack and NONE of them DONT have a problem. some of them literally crash right after save select, one of them DOESNT COME WITH A SINGLE PLUGIN SO IT JUST DOESNT RUN, and one of them ran the game at like 150% speed for some fucking reason so either i dont play it or im forced to use project-"PLEASE GIVE ME MONEYπ₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯Ίπ€π€"-64 (which btw if you didnt know has a message that BEGS for money for 30 FULL SECONDS everytime you open it) [EDIT: FOUND ONE THAT WORKS JUST NEEDED A SMALL FIX YIPPEE ππππππ]
anyways thats that thanks for reading if you got down here bye bye :)))))

i think the answer is that N64 has a really difficult hardware/software, and making an emulation of it is a very difficult process, especially back then: considering that people aren't allowed to use Nintendo's basis of the code, either, makes it a much more difficult process.
or maybe people really just dont like n64 that much tbh
