Medicine is a social justice movement

Wrote this last year, but in light of what the Supreme Court's recent decisions on LGBTQ+ rights and #affirmative action, it seemed to me more relevant now. For younger Americans out here, it's essential that you get involved; it is your future. And know there are those of us who lived through what it was like before choice was a woman's right, before gay marriage, and have continued the work to bring about equity in societies and especially in medicine.
