society and culture benefits the pretty. this is simply true. you can see it in female movie stars doing everything they can to remain young looking, from the way they dress and act to surgeries.
over time this seems to effect us younger and younger. young girls with eating disorders or wearing inappropriate clothing, hating themselves for not fitting the feminine ideal, being unwilling to let their body hair grow or to leave the house without makeup
something that is new is this same effect happening to boys. femboys specifically. young men find this femboy culture online and begin to hate their own bodies for the crime of going through male puberty. there's even terms people use like "twink death" to name and shame the effects of boys aging into men. go on any place where people self identify as femboys and you will see it "i wish i was shorter, i wish i was more feminine, my body type grosses me out, i should go on estrogen so i don't sound so masculine" it's so sad.
it really disgusts me when i see people refer to people simply growing older as "twink death" as if this is inherently negative and bad. the kind of mental damage this could do to a young kid is abhorrent. same thing with girls bullying other girls for having leg hair or looking boyish, or adults telling them they have to look more feminine, it's so destructive
this feminine ideal that exists is so damaging to everyone.
if you're reading this, male or female, please accept your body how it is and let yourself become the person you are going to be. take care of your body if you can. it's good to do that. but don't compare yourself to unrealistic body types. be yourself.

Aging is the reason why I wear SPF 100 sunscreen (while avoiding the sun when possible), eat healthily, and exercise my stomach. Getting older doesn't mean you can't preserve your body and beauty, rawr.

I think this all really has to do with what certain people find attractive in others. There's a very creepy obsession with young femme features, and men really like it for some reason. Like all those girls on Tiktok who dress and act like children, or Vtubers who have "loli" avatars and who speak in a little girls voice...They say it's because it's "cute" but they also say really explicit things at the same time.
And now a lot of people think they have to be "forever young" or something to be considered attractive, and they shame people who look "grown" up or who act like actual adults. I do like cute frilly clothing, but I don't objectify myself in those clothes at all, unlike a lot of people. And I don't think its a bad thing if someone wants to sexualise themselves if they're an adult, I just find it weird when they do it dressed in what is essentially kidcore

the second paragraph describes me exactly.
also the twink death thing is so sad. if you love fem boys you know they will grow into femme men...why try to keep them super young? it's odd. I love femme men/femboys and I think it's super weird that the femboys being praised are all pretty young. like 15-20 and after that they hype dies down. at that point you don't even like "femboys". you like young femme boys.

THISSSS.
And also the whole "I am 30 but have no wrinkles" shit, OF COURSE YOU DON'T, it has come to a very sick point where people treat 30 like 70 or something, its okay to age, aging is literally the proof of being alive
