I found this website with a lot of great information concerning white supremacy culture and how we as a society uphold these standards and continue to perpetuate them. The website also has some resources that I linked as well.
I wanted to share it for anyone who doesn't know about it and might want to educate themselves further.
Please check it out.
The website is user friendly, and has very detailed information.
(So if you don't quite understand something or if you have questions, chances are that you can find the answer, and examples, within website or in the text "White Supremacy Culture–Still Here".)
It can be dense, but it's valuable and worth your time.

Here is a very quick rundown of some of the info it covers, so you have an idea of what to expect.
These are the main characteristics of white supremacy culture:
- Perfectionism
- Sense Of Urgency
- Defensiveness
- Quantity Over Quality
- Worship of the Written Word
- Only 1 Right Way
- Paternalism
- Either/Or Thinking
- Power Hoarding
- Fear Of Open Conflict
- Individualism
- "I'm The Only One"
- Progress Is Bigger / More
- Objectivity
- Right To Comfort
Let's look out for these traits in our day to day lives so that we can recognize them and shut it down or at least pivot situations and conversations we might experience towards a more productive and informed direction.
Let's work towards deconstructing internalized negative attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors that no longer serve us, our communities and society overall. This kind of stuff can be uncomfortable but that is why it's so important to learn about.

Please do not weaponize this info, it is meant to be an educational tool for the use of better understanding the culture that surrounds white supremacy and how it continues to be perpetuated today. It's not meant as any sort of personal attack or to be used to attack someone else, rather to inspire self reflection, open mindedness, education, and understanding.
Life doesn't have to suck so bad,
we can make it better.
But it's a group effort.
XOXO
