i see loads of radfem tiktoks on my fyp and i agree with most (not everything) in radfem but idk what is like the opinion around radical feminism like doesz it have a good or bad rep like ik u shoudlnt agree or disagree with smth based on its reputaion but if it has areally bad reputauion i would liek to know that and why before i tell ppl "oh im a rad fem", yk
also like i liekd the idea of telling ppl im a rad fem cus yk rad

well you can't be a radfem and religious for one because radical feminism believes that religion subjugates women to men.

dont let ppl thinking ur a terf get u down!! if asked irl to avoid confusion you could say smth like "yeah im like. anti-patriarchy" which is basically what being a radfem IS, its "radical" in the sense it demands true equality via the dismantaling of stuff like the patriarchy (i think thats mainly it). you may be like "huh thats not too radical wanting equality" which is like. true! but looking back at the suffragettes/suffragists you see that radicalism was always more inclusive, with radical suffragettes/gists targetting working class women in their propaganda and stuff! so its not really a bad thing, but terfs very much misunderstand the point of being "radical" because sure, biological sex CAN affect how youre oppressed, but trans women are CERTAINLY oppressed by the patriarchy/society itself. so in turn, they are USING patriarchal thinking to put down trans women.
but yeah, rant aside, online u can easily put in ur bio/pin a blog post that says "im not a terf lol its ok!" bc a lot of terfs DONT say theyre terfs, they just say theyre radfems. so the choice is urs tbh. its fine to not post ur complete political standings/use different terminology if it suits u more

In a nutshell, the majority will believe you are transphobic. However, there is a lot that goes into defining Radical Feminism. I'll make it brief because I don't know anything about it. According to what I've heard, Radical Feminism occurs when real women assist real women. They would raise awareness about common women's issues such as abortion and rape. They become irritated if a male is participating in feminism because it appears like they need a man to speak for women just so the audience can hear their remarks. They don't like it (and I understand why).
RadFems supports every current things (LGBTQIA, They just hate men and transwomen)
Traditional Feminism is similar to Radfem but the belief goes along like "I love being a housewife raising a grown man and children :)

When most people hear "RadFem" they think "Terf", since the majority of terfs define themselves as radfems. So overall I'd say radfem reputation is pretty sour. But that's just me, from an outsider's perspective.
