WORLD HUNGER

The world has one big problem "World Hunger" after a steadily declining for a decade , world hunger is on the rise again , affecting nearly 10% or people globally . From 2019 to 2022 the number of undernourished people grew by as many as 150 million , a crisis driven largely by conflict, climate change, and the COVID -19 pandemic. World hunger statistics for 2020 was 9.30%, a 1.3% increase from 2019. World hunger statistics for 2019 was 8.00%, a 0.3% increase from 2018. World hunger statistics for 2018 was 7.70%, a 0.1% increase from 2017. World hunger statistics for 2017 was 7.60%, a 0.2% decline from 2016 but currently in in the 2023 its about  10% which is the highest number yet. Its becoming really alarming we need to act fast because if we don't the numbers will rise rapidly fast. Each day, 25,000 people, including more than 10,000 children, die from hunger and related causes. Some 854 million people worldwide are estimated to be undernourished, and high food prices may drive another 100 million into poverty and hunger. Luckily we have people who are concerned and we are thankful for  all the  organizations helping to end world hunger  they deserve the recognition organizations etc. examples like , The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) is the largest humanitarian organization on the planet, feeding over 100 million people in 80 countries. They have really helped but we need to work together if we want to sole our problems .More than half of the world's undernourished people live in Asia — 418 million.                     BY TONIA NKWENTI
