HI EVERYONE! JUST BEEN LISTENING TO A SHIT LOAD OF CLOACAL KISS AND NUMBER STATIONS LATELY AND I GOTTA BE HONEST. DESPITE HOW MUCH THESE MAKE ME GENUINELY SCARED I LOVE THE SHIT OUT OF THEM. RICH LOMBARDI'S VOCALS IN CLOACAL KISS ARE SOMETHING TO BEHOLD AND I JUST THINK NUMBER STATIONS ARE NEAT.
GIVE ME SOME SCARY ASS MUSIC RECS. PLEASE.

this is so unrelated but i checked your profile before writing a reply and i have genuinely **never** seen another heccra fan in my life wow <33 anyway i think their sound is pretty similar to a lot of industrial artists like skinny puppy, or maybe some grindcore (it's like thrash metal x100). throbbing gristles 'hamburger lady' is considered to be really scary music but it doesn't really sound like your example, maybe still worth checking out! this list has some pretty solid recommendations https://rateyourmusic.com/list/Homocavo/scary-disturbing-albums/. hopefully this is an apt answer, scary is pretty broad.

i totally get where your coming from, i feel like both grindcore and industrial teeter along a fine line of perfect aggression and being too edgy for its' own good. i just sat down properly to listen to the sawtooth grin so i could think of more accurate recommendations and.. i don't fucking know! it's not often i hear something like this!! it's so batshit abrasive but still melodious, something i hear very seldomly. it's like, screamo math rock or something. i think 'fall of troy' might interest you if you enjoy the density of their albums, but i seriously can't think of a vocal performance quite like the sawtooth grin!?? i'll have to check out cybergrind as well.

EDGY MUSIC CAN BE REALLY, REALLY GOOD SOMETIMES BUT IT'S LIKE ONE IN A MILLION. FOR EVERY TRILLION MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCES OUT THERE, THERE'S A SINGULAR SAWTOOTH GRIN.
THE SAWTOOTH GRIN IS AMAZING AND RICH LOMBARDI (THE VOCALIST FOR THE BAND) IS A GIFT TO MANKIND. GENUINELY INSANE HOW HE CAN SCREAM LIKE THAT IT'S ALMOST SCARY. FUN FACT, IN A FEW INTERVIEWS HE'S DONE, HE'S EXPLICITLY SAID THAT HE WANTED TO SOUND LIKE HE WAS BEING STABBED TO DEATH! I THINK HE NAILED IT BECAUSE WHAT THE FUCK ARE THE NOISES COMING OUT OF THAT MAN?
IF YOU REALLY WANTED TO GET TECHNICAL WITH IT, THE SAWTOOTH GRIN CAN BE CALLED SASSCORE. SASSCORE IS A SUBGENRE THAT SPAWNED OUT OF THE EMOVIOLENCE SCENE OF THE EARLY 2000S AND LATE 1990S THAT WAS A DIRECT REACTION TO THE MACHISMO AND DICK-MEASURING CONTESTS THAT FREQUENTLY PLAGUED GENRES LIKE EMOVIOLENCE.
THE SAWTOOTH GRIN WERE THE PROGENITIERS OF THIS SPECIFIC SUBGENRE, I THINK, BECAUSE THEY BUILT THEMSELVES SOLELY ON SPITE. ABRASIVE VOCALS THAT SOUND LIKE YOU'RE BEING MURDERED? DONE IN RESPONSE TO HOW PEOPLE IN THE SCENE AT THE TIME LIKED TO ACT HARD. "DOESN'T SOUND REAL MANLY TO BE STABBED TO DEATH, DOES IT?" (PARAPHRASED FROM AN INTERVIEW WITH RICH LOMBARDI. IT TEASES YOU WITH SOMETHING GORGEOUS AND THEN IT SLAMS YOU IN THE FACE WITH A NIGHTMARE. I LOVE THIS BAND SO MUCH. AND THE OTHER BAND THAT RICH WAS IN (CLOACAL KISS) IS JUST AS GOOD, TOO.

sry for such a delayed response my personal life has kept me away from here u_u but TRUST that this has been rotating in my mind, the sawtooth grin has come up in so many irl conversations that i've had it's actually insane i've just been spewing off all the things you've been telling me to people LJDHSJGFSF. i am literally so fascinated by how boundary pushing (terrifying) this shit is. as of writing this i've only listened to cuddlemonster and good but i want to get around to the other projects like cloacal kiss tonight. ALSO i've seen bits of interviews and just god. like GOD. one of the few real originals making music. also there's a full album cover of cuddlemonster that i'm sure you've seen on youtube (by jssycamore) and i'm dying to get home so i can learn some of this shit on my own guitar!! oh my god!! i'll either follow up this comment or IM you (if you're okay with that :3) with my thoughts when i'm finished!! tysm my brain chemistry is changed forever
