Reflection

I found a girl in the same place

She paralleled my position in time

Distant eyes come upon a scene

Tears in the confines of her eyes

Glowing liquid entwined with hues of hazel

beams of light shining

Against the pigments of her skin

She stands within the in-between

If you look inside her

A silent pain still wanders

She’s in the same place

My eyes move away from the image

And my footsteps  begin to fade
