day 19: just a regular old day nothing special. SYKE! every day is special day

hey guys writepril has been hard to keep up with the past few days and probably will be until this friday when my sem is done (:D)

but i finally wanted to share the thing i wrote while sunbathing like 4 days ago:

The cardinal in my backyard is laughing at me

Is it my face or my state? Something I said?

The sun is burning through my thick skin while my ears ring above the sound of a cooing mother 

Dont touch your bellybutton in public

Ill try to coexist with flies and wasps

If this cardinal tells me its not really laughing at me

It feels illegal to sit with my skin exposed in my backyard

It feels like every sound I hear is someone about to walk in here and point and laugh

Why cant i be comfortable alone in my skin

Why cant i remember what it feels like to be a monkey

Not a freak of nature

Not afraid of bugs

Free to touch my bellybutton in public

yeah its about wanting to be a monkey and being scared to relax.

today pookie left me to go to toronto and get her stuff ready for grad ex which im so excited to attend:) im gona be applying to jobs until 5 and then I'll work on one of the last assignments. I found out that my Thesis proposal is not quite as difficult as I thought it would be, so thats making me feel a little more at ease B)... even though ive been seeing my friends i still miss them SO MUCH especially today!! i just feel kind of foggy brained. I would be no fun to hang out with today but i just want to sit down beside some dandelions. ya get me? I hope my ladies have a wonderful day and i look forward to being more engaged in writepril .. love u <3
