Horror Survey

For reference, I am a "Dark Coper" horror fan. Dark Copers use horror as a way to cope with various aspects of our lives. In my case, horror helps me to deal with feelings of high anxiety.

The outback

3. Any animal fears?

I'm terrified of spiders 

4. When you were younger what were you afraid of?

I wasn't really scared of monsters or anything.. the only thing that tortured my childhood were these dolls.. I still can't be in the same room as one. (I am now fully aware of their meaning and their racist history)

5. When you were younger how did you cope with your fears?

I didn't :D Which is why I now have mental issues :D

6. Is a basement or attic scarier to you?

Basement

7. Ever have recurring nightmares?

I don't have specific nightmares, but I do have recurring themes. 

8. Favorite old horror film?

Yes, I actually prefer it

Wide eyed freeze

Nope, I don't fuck with that shit

15. Top 5 scariest noises to hear when you’re alone?

Knocking (at night), footsteps, voices, your name, basically anything out of the ordinary.

16. Pick a horror movie and explain how you would survive.

The Ring. Simply don't watch the tape, especially if you have prior knowledge that it kills in 7 days. 

17. Do you have pre-planned hiding places in your house for scary situations?

I use to, but in the current house I'm living in, there is literally nowhere to hide D:

18. Have you experienced any paranormal happenings?

Multiple. Seeing things, being choked, being sat on, etc.

19. Do you believe in ghosts?

I've had experiences, so yes

20. Are there any spots in your house you are to afraid to be?

Nope

22. Do you prefer gore or thrillers?

Not the biggest fan of gore, and I can't deal with body horror. I very much prefer psychological horror and thrillers.

23. What did your parents tell you about monsters when you were young?

They're not real.

24. Are you a fan of jump scares?

If they're done right and not overdone.

25. What is your go-to for horror entertainment?

Movies (but at the moment it's tv shows)

26. Do you believe aliens or other life forms exist?

I want to believe.

27. Have you read Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark? If so what was your favorite or what was the scariest story?

I surprisingly haven't read them.. 

28. Have you ever been near a murder scene?

There is a shopping centre in my city that I go to frequently where this happened. I walk past the scene all the time.

29. Would you ever spend the night in an abandoned building?

Maybe.. depends on it's history lol

30. Are you superstitious?

Only with somethings. Like, don't kill crickets in your home, don't touch ouija boards, angel numbers.

Not mine, but my mum got it done and the psychic tattled on me. Basically the night my mum went, I went to a party and smoked a cig for the first time, psychic saw it and told my mum D:

No, mostly because bugs.

Yes, an abandoned church. We almost got caught.

34. Would you ever stay overnight in a place that is said to be haunted?

A lunatic asylum in my state use to do sleepover tours and I always wanted to go. Unfortunately, they stopped doing it.

I wasn't asleep when I got my premonitions :D (I've only ever had 3)

Nope and nope

I've never seen, only heard and felt.

Alien: Isolation. It's just so intense and anxiety inducing

No. My phobias and triggers are my responsibility, no one else's (how it should be)

It depends on the kind of zombie to be honest.. but my top 3 would be a machete, a crossbow and a shotgun

Yes, prefered to watch it though

I cracked under societal/peer pressure and just went psycho :D
