Fighting game recs?

Recently ive been wanting to try to get into more fighting games ! For series to look into i already got guilty gear and king of fighters on the list series wise... ive played plenty of mortal kombat and street fighter already in the past cause theyre so popular aha (´ ∀ ` *)

particularly i really like ones with fun character designs... maybe i should check out some of the touhou fighting games?

any recs ? im open to fan games for popular franchises, fighting games wise theres a lot of those that are good so ! yknow !
