This is a petition to reverse the decision to block Scotland's gender recognition reform bill, which England denied Scotland of doing recently because apparently they'd rather un-unite the united kingdom than be decent to transgender people.
This bill would have changed the steps to receive a gender recognition certificate, or GRC, in order to make it easier for more trans people to meet the requirements to go under gender reassignment. It would allow young people in Scotland to be able to get a GRC easily, and make the lives of us transgender people MUCH easier.
However, the Conservative party are very anti-lgbtq, even if they never outwardly express this. They do what they can to silence us and remove our rights, just to make our lives harder and their pockets deeper. So as such, they blocked this bill, despite the party being more focused in England. Scotland have wanted nothing to do with the United Kingdom for years now - even trying to gain independence multiple times.
If you're in the UK, please, sign this petition. It'd be a huge help for trans people in Scotland, and perhaps even people living in the country as a whole if this bill becomes popular enough.
If you're not in the UK, spread this petition to your UK friends. You unfortunately cannot sign it unless you're a UK citizen, however you may know someone who can.
Let's fight this together - let's unify against those that beat us down for trying to be happy.
