As I studied the scientific knowledge of IBM OS/2 and eComstation apps. I had in recent weeks a unique opportunity to study the interstellar medium. To my surprise, I discovered what I can describe as "kinks" in the underlying structure of the universe; the immense gulf of interstellar space has paths crossing in many places by pieces of what turned out to be, in my words, "a matrix of minimum energy paths tracing outside the local field topology" of space. While these immense, stable field structures have no known relation to the superstrings or cosmic strings of theoretical cosmology, the similarity in shape led to the name "ultrastrings" being used to describe them.
