Woke people claim to be loving and accepting of all different kinds of people, opinions, and perspectives and then proceed to have the longest DNI list excluding people who don't agree with their opinions or have the same perspective/views. people shouldn't be divided no matter their political views or opinions. we should all be accepting of different opinions instead of shutting out those who don't agree with us. We are so divided by politics it's sad. Everyone got mad that trump said he would build a wall when we are the ones who are building walls 🤦♀️ In fact we've been building walls for decades I mean look at segregation and jim crow laws we had in the past now why the hell are we trying to bring it back 🤦♀️🤦♀️
Also ik DNI lists are meant for blocking out people that could be potentially harmful like rapists and pedos but come on dude I've seen people putting DNIs for the stupidest things like "DNI if you support this singer" or "DNI if you play this game or a part of this community" "DNI if you are pRoBLOmAtIC" I'm sorry but these people act like the world revolves around them and their needs. That sounded very rude and I promise I don't mean to sound rude but that's just what I think and I dunno how to word that in a better way.
I'm open to respectful debate and discussion btw!! I really appreciate it!

Yes yes this I mean seriously someone else on here who actually has the guts to say woke too XD like fr tho because DNI lists are so cringe istg. People have labeled me anti woke and anti other shit when I’m literally not on their dnis, and I’m 17 one of the people is nearly 30. DNI lists spread misinfo and even when they aren’t they are so annoying and come off so rude unless you agree with that person on EVERYTHING.

i agree that dni lists arent entirely necessary but i dont think you needed to make some of these comparisons. bullying on the internet shouldnt be carelessly compared to widespread racism like trumps wall, which was literally the president of the united states doing that, and these are teenagers on the internet who are acting stupid. we should think a lil more before we say this stuff but other than that ur right theres no point in dnis
yeah i agree, also i think the idea of the "basic criteria" is stupid because are people who meet the basic criteria supposed to stop interacting with anyone in the world? also how are we going to change people's minds if we don't talk to them

dni lists dont rly make sense becuz u can put "dni (obviously bad type of person like a rapist)" but if a rapist wants to interact... they probably wont care.

generalizing that every fan of a certain fandom is going to be exactly like a vocal minority is very harmful. for the problematic people thing, how are people meant to learn about how problematic the person is if they can't talk to anyone who believes the person is problematic? dni lists are often full of generalizations about entire communities of people that have no basis in hearing the community in question out and listening to their different perspectives.

Agreed! I understand preferences and respect boundaries, but it's usually so off-putting when I see a list of 10+ landmines I have to avoid just to say hi lol. No thanks. Some people might be better off talking to themselves if they're that sensitive.

I wish we can go back to the days of just choosing to ignore, block, report, or log out when it came to unwanted interactions. As for the ones meant to block out genuinely harmful people (pedos, racists, etc.), what the fuck makes them think that if someone with intentions that severe was trying to get to them that a fucking DNI would stop them? If they're out to get you, they're not going to be deterred by that. DNIs are just useless and often prissy/mean.
