The most stupid tuing i found about this was tuat the organization those protesters were working for is funded by a oil heress, ever heard of getty oil?
And get this they receive donations in crypto, a lot of enviromentalists worth their salt have talked about the eviromental costs of crypto.
The conspiracy theorists in me wonders if this was a stunt to make real climate activists look bad. (The oil industry has been documented to pay people to dedtroy their reputation)
Plus van gogh in life had a lot more common with the starving people they claimed to advocate.
He was poor, his art was mocked in life plus he suffered from mental illness and depression that took his own life. Like way to go and shit on the memory of a marginalized artist.
Not to mention you can both care about art and protecting the planet.
Sorry for the rant, but has soemone who actually did study thr enviromental sciences this callous fake activism grinds my gears.
