Teaching-

I’ll add my past commentary below- and just touch on a few points here-
The queen of Sheba hears of the fame of Solomon- and decides to check it out for herself-
1Kings 10:1 And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.
Others already knew- and accessed the wisdom of Solomon- yet it took time before the Queen herself would come to benefit as well.

Often times leaders do not partake of the actual wisdom available thru other channels- because they are consumed with the job of leadership itself.

Many in modern ministry are focused on many things- finances- where will we get the resources to complete the mission.
While those things do play a roll- yet the most important thing is walking in the wisdom of God- and being willing to sit at the table and partake from the wisdom of God- deposited in others-

Where there is no counsel, the people fall;
But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. Prvb. 11:14

So when the queen herself sees all that Solomon had built- and how Solomon answered all the questions she had-
She replies-
1Kings 10:6 And she said to the king, It was a true report that I heard in mine own land of thy acts and of thy wisdom.1Kings 10:7 Howbeit I believed not the words, until I came, and mine eyes had seen it: and, behold, the half was not told me: thy wisdom and prosperity exceedeth the fame which I heard.
Yes- because she too was a leader- and held a position of authority, she was able to see more- to learn more- than the others who had simply told her about Solomon.

We as the people of God have Christ in us- this wisdom residing in the church is known to others around us- they have heard about Christ and have a witness of God that is undeniable-

but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1st Cor. 1:24
Romans 1:20 [Full Chapter]
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

People of other faiths hear about God- they realize Christianity plays a unique role in the affairs of men.
Yes- they have heard of the wisdom of God in the church.

But until they come for themselves- until they too believe and receive the Spirit of God- they are simply looking in from the outside-
Matthew 13:11
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

But if- and when they come- like the queen- they will realize they only heard a small part of the story-

Jesus himself talked about the queen
Matthew 12:42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
He actually commended her- because she was willing to make the trip to hear the wisdom of Solomon.
Yet in Jesus day- there were many who claimed religion- and the worship of God- as their main goal.

Yet- these same people bypassed Jesus-
20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him? John 10

They judged him as a false teacher- who did miracles by satan himself-
Matthew 12:24
But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

Right in their midst- was one who had greater wisdom than Solomon- yet they simply did not access what was right in their midst.

There were some who began to question- to look at Jesus- and what he was doing- and realize the prejudices they had against him were wrong-
John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:John 3:2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
But for the most part- the religious leaders rejected him outright.

In our lives- we need to take time to listen to the stories of others- what they have to share.
The past few weeks I have had some good talks with some friends on the street.

As I simply listen- to their experiences with God- I often see how God has revealed himself to them- worked in their lives-
Yes- the wisdom of God often comes from vessels that we would never think to find it-
1 Corinthians 1:27
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

It takes humility to find out for yourself- to actually go and hear from the person who you might have only heard stories about.
The Queen heard of the fame of Solomon- many in society have heard of the fame of Jesus.

But until you come for yourself- you only have half of the story-
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matt. 11
