I can't believe the tour is already over. After playing more than fifteen shows, the tour ended right before his 80th birthday. I was lucky enough to see him on this tour. It was my 10th time seeing Paul in the last twenty years. When I look at it that way, it's even more amazing to me! At the end of every show, he said he would see us next time, so of course we're all patiently waiting to see when the next tour will be. I suspect our next chance to see him will probably be in about three years since he's going on a world tour next year. (I assume the USA won't be involved in the world tour since he was just here, but I could be wrong.)
When I was five years old, I remember vowing to see Paul in concert one day. It's a long story that there's no need to get into now, but every time that I see him, I think back to that hopeful kindergartner that had no idea just how lucky she'd be. Two of the shows that I've attended, he's acknowledged my existence in addition to me being able to bask in his presence. I've also been able to bask in the presence of Ringo four times so far, one of which my existence was acknowledged. When I'm feeling low, I just remember how incredibly spectacular that really is.
I am not seeing Ringo this year. He's not coming anywhere near me, unfortunately, but I am so sorry to everyone who had tickets to see him on this last bit of his tour. Two of his bandmates (NOT HIM) tested positive for Covid and so the rest of the shows will be later in the year. I'm very glad that P&R are both healthy and vaccinated. If you've ever had the pleasure of seeing any of The Beatles individually or together, please share your stories below! I'd love to hear them!
