ultra femininity

girls who participate in stereotypically feminine activities can be as smart and accomplished as any other person can so why does the media like to portray ultra-feminine women as dumb or mean? like srsly when did we start assuming girly = stupid ̄へ ̄ i think in the second wave of feminism people started to separate feminism and femininity because they needed to stop doing "domestic" activities in order to be taken seriously, but this also resulted in the idea that if you're hyper-feminine then you must be seeking male validation. things like makeup and high heels were seen as patriarchal stereotypes, which is why a lot of women in the second wave of feminism started abandoning those things and that's why strong women in the media are often portrayed as tomboys. and to be honest i think my little pony is one of the best shows that portrays both ultra-feminine girls and tomboys perfectly!!! like how rarity is the most feminine and high maintenance from the mane 6, but shes not portrayed as weak and dumb. shes a strong pone who can save herself from danger (like when she got kidnapped by the diamond dogs) and owns multiple clothing stores!! and how like applejack and rainbow dash are the most boyish characters, even tho they dont do stereotypically feminine things like at all during the show, they still celebrate women and respect femininity :3 legally blonde is rlly good too cuz even tho elle at first is seen as a basic dumb valley girl, she becomes an extremely talented lawyer while maintaining her femininity. (im not saying that tomboys cant be talented and smart as well, just saying u can embrace being fem while still being badass >:)) im nonbinary but i think that anyone should be as feminine or masculine as they want unapologetically.
