a drop in the bucket Schrodinger's vote

blah another blog about politics don't people have anything better to talk about right now like maybe theorizing about what happened with facebook yesterday? no? ah well whatever fine guess i'll do the stup!d response blog since this seems to be the topic of the day. so why should you vote? we're all just drops in a bucket so whats the difference if 1 drop is removed? well yes true we are just drops in a bucket in voting we choose which bucket it's our voice being added to the ether of others these buckets are then compared the fullest wins but you're still just a drop in a bucket so what does it change? theres a joke among those of us that vote 3rd party that we're Schrodinger's vote every election we reject the 2 main competing views for a more rational and compromised but less popular 3rd option and we always hear it for whatever side lost "why didn't you just vote 1st part? we needed your vote" hence the joke we're schrodingers vote cuz if we did vote first party no one actually knows who we'd vote for or if we would even vote at all if we added our vote too there'd be no telling if it would actually contest the results that being said back to the drop in a bucket analogy yes you are a drop just like i'm only a drop but what happens when a cup of drops is taken out of a bucket? well the bucket is reduced by 1 cup theres less in the bucket than what there used to be and even if it is just a single cup that cup could become the determining factor what you should probably get from this is i'm not saying that you should just vote 1st party or not all quite the opposite in fact as individuals we can only choose which bucket our own drop goes into so why would we go with the populas and vote for 1 of the 2 parties that have been destroying our lives since birth and even technically before birth? if enough people decided enough is enough and voted for a 3rd party that would change things it would fill the bucket that seemed so empty every time before till eventually it became fuller than the 2 everyone always decides between stop blaming others if you don't have the gall to stand up for your own beliefs cuz it truly doesn't just end at voting that's only where it begins think for yourself and stand up for what you think stop falling into paradigms when you don't have to politics is a dangerous game when people decide to take ideological approaches to it over logical ones and like it or not you do control at least a fraction of what way politics go you don't have to argue about it you don't have to engage with it but it is your responsibility to make sure the tides stay straight and that you are ready at all times to take back what we fought so hard to earn back in our past if i haven't convinced you that's fine but remember if someone's about to punch you you should always block or dodge that punch if you let that punch connect without an effort to avoid it it's not anyones fault except yours and the one who threw the punch (note that was an allegory not a threat)
