Honestly, I just can´t understand the hypocrocy of saying there´s white- but not blackwashing. If you change an already established characters skin color for no other fucking reason than either more or less diversity, it´s idiotic bs and that goes both ways.
I hate this opinion, reminds me of the whole "the opressed can´t discriminate against those in power". That´s so fucking idiotic, being part of a minoroty does NOT give you a moral high ground to decide at which point something is discrimination or not and as far as I´m concerned, blackwashing characters who weren´t black before SHOULD be considered racist as fuck, as it encourages the very lazy habit writers have of writing token characters and is clearly just made to please the masses.
In short, I can already imagine getting hate for all this but idc, I think it´s important to have this discussion and I find it personally so frustrating to see activists basically hurt their own cause with their support for blackwashing. And to say it doens´t exist is just a flat-out lie, it exists but
it´s used for a whole another purpose than whitewashing, that being the whole token thing. Anyway, stop supporting lazy writers and start demanding actually well writen black characters. byyyyye

The best thing to do is not get swept away with the nonsense.
Just keep building and finding your circles and surround your information and streams and influence information with people who align with you and aren't trying to gas light and manipulate your minds and emotions with propaganda and psychological warfare.

Yup Changing a viking to a black female in a netflix series is a joke. I wish it was a comedy though.. Then it would make sense

I didn´t even hear about that, but yeah, the fact they go as far as to make a story lose it´s historical accuracy for the sake of a token is just beyond me.
