Is Trudeau Gay?

After seeing the news that Justin Trudeau's wife was confirmed to have Coronavirus, I've been seriously confused. In my timeline Trudeau has been openly gay and had a male partner until I seen the news about his wife (I'm not Canadian but know overseas politics from worldwide news). I know he advocates for gay rights but I was convinced he was gay himself.
