aaaaa !! it depends what type of genres u like but i have a few (mostly fiction) i recommend but I read them in highschool so they might be a little less exciting than I remember.
Demon Road Trilogy - Derek Landy
The author has the most hilariously absurd descriptions and writing styles. From what I recall this series has got stuff from undead serial killers to killers cars and demons. It's got action and gore but as well as a blossoming WLW romance in the last book for our MC Amber in this horror, thriller and gory series. I wont go into too much detail about how this book slams so many twists on you, to keep the surprise. But the first one will happen within pages !!
Red Queen series - Victoria Aveyard
Mare Barrow is born and raised in the Kingdom of Norta, which is characterized by a sharp class divide: the Silvers, who have silver blood, live lives of glamor and riches. Reds, who have red blood, live in poverty in villages like the Stilts. It's got this very adamant dystopian set up. The silvers have abilities and powers, which are generalised into groups depending on their bloodlines and family trees. Reds on the otherhand lack these abilities. Well, at least up until Mare.
This has a lot of turns and twists, rebellions, battles and morally grey characters that get explored. As well as LGBTQ+ relationships.
If you want a good book based of like real life but its also a romance so sorry thats my main genre. "like a love story" it takes place in the 80s in New York at the height of the aids epidemic. It is like high school drama based and a weird gay love triangle. it does have some mild spicy bits and death so if your not into that i understand
