What lies ahead at the end of the tunnel. I was lead here by the heron. A cryptic messenger from the universe.

These cryptic messengers keep appearing in front of me nearly every day. With each sub-sequential appearance erasing doubt that this is a mere coincidence. I've never witnessed such a thing quite like this in my entire life. The mystery provokes such wonder and I am forever curious. Today must be the fifth time that I've seen these beautiful birds in the last week and a half. From what I read there seems to be different interpretations of what the heron can mean as a spirit animal. Wisdom and embracing uniqueness are two traits. Getting to know yourself and being your own best friend is another because they are typically solitary creatures.

There are three encounters in particular that stick out in my mind. The other two were more casual flybys. The first sighting startled me because it had it's neck stretched out walking through the woods looking like a dinosaur. The second sighting landed in front of me on the other side of the creek. Eventually another one landed beside it and they began to have some sort of quarrel which lead to them flying off chasing each other down the creek. The third encounter happened today at a completely different place than the others. I saw the bird land, look over towards me and then wander off. I decided to follow it and after a few minutes I saw it fly off. Not knowing which direction it flew I just continued forward in the same direction until I saw the tunnel that passed under the road. As I looked down the tunnel I saw the bird peek it's head around the corner at the other side of the tunnel. So I ventured through the tunnel to the other side to meet the heron. As I made it to the other side it saw me and flew off again. I will continue to wonder about these events and theorize what they could mean. One thing for sure is that I certainly don't have tunnel vision when it comes to anything. It's important to consider other possibilities that don't coincide with a single dimensional materialistic view of the world.
