Metaverse?

For the longest time I've always been super interested and excited about huge innovations in Tech like Tesla and SpaceX and I used to even daydream about living in the Oasis like Parzival but now that we're ever so close to living in this world of Virtual Reality and huge tech leaps, I'm not sure about it all now. I think it started with NFTs and their huge risk, low reward, and their terrible doings to the environment. Since then, these huge leaps in tech don't really seem all that good. Nevertheless, I feel I should treat this with open arms as while it may seem like a bad leap forward, this may bloom into a really modern way to work and become more efficient.
