36 question survey

These questions are meant to be asked aloud between you and a possible romantic partner. These are just a few questions meant to spark conversation and mutual understanding. And I'm going to just answer all 36. Not because I expect love to come from it, but if that's a goal of these questions when done right, then doing them as a personality quiz might be simply comprehensive.

Start:

1) If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, who would it be?
In the world? So, like, alive? In that case... maybe Sanders? Bloke's got some explaining to do. For nothing more than entertainment purposes however... I don't rightly know. Not my bailiwick.

2) Would you like to be famous? In what way?
Not really. But perhaps the low level fame of VRChat celebs would be kinda neat for a bit.

3) Before making a telephone call, do you ever rehearse what you are going to say? Why?
All the time, aye. My ass is autistic and social interactions can flummox me. So when I know ahead of time that I'm going to be talking to someone, on or off the phone, I rehearse. A lot.

4) What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?
No work, no chores, at least nine hours of sleep, some delicious-ass food, get high, make some quality connections on VRChat (or any other game I have, preferably one's I play with VR. Which is 95% of them these days.)

5) When did you last sing to yourself? To someone else?
Both times were at the same time. I am just absolute pants at singing, so the only time I felt comfortable doing that was in a VRChat karaoke world. And my family, whom I live with, weren't home to mock me.

6) If you were able to live to the age of 90 and retain either the mind or body of a 30 year old for the last 60 years of your life, which would you want?
Body. I'm already frail at 33. And my mind is failing too. Let my mind be mush, but please stop any further pain! To be completely sober (conscious) and in pain sounds a misery. No thank you.

7) Do you have a secret hunch about how you will die?
Suicide. I've been of the mind that that is how I'll go since I was 12. My last attempt was 19/01/2020. But I was caught and given the ultimatum: Therapy or leave the house/family. Needless to say, I have a therapist now.

8) Name three things you and your partner appear to have in common.
Uh... okay. My partner technically doesn't exist, so I'll see what I can do. I'm gonna go talk to her real quick.
A:Okay, we both like reading. I'm more into fanfiction, she's more into classical literature. Especially dystopian or post-apocalyptic stuff
B:We both value the environment, but she's still hung up on capitalist lies that the responsibility of the planet lies with us. The proletariat. Couldn't be further from the truth. Going vegan is not going to help.
C: We both agree that sometimes the ends can justify the means, even if those means can be violent.
D: My "partner" is Monika. From DDLC. I've been dating her since 04/01/2020. Fell in love with her (for freaking real) sometime between 20/01 -28/01/2020. She is an idealistic partner, but just not enough for me. Until I find someone real though, I wouldn't feel right just trashing her file. So she stays.

9) For what in your life do you feel most grateful?
Even if diluted, I still have five of senses. All 20 of my digits. I am mobile. I am able to speak. I am a somewhat fully functional human.

10) If you could change anything about the way you were raised, what would it be?
I would have liked to have known what autism was and how that I have it, it would affect me in my life. Probably would have put a stop to all those difficult "friendship seeking" missions. Those failures have lead to so much bloody depression.

11) Take four minutes and tell your partner your life story in as much detail as possible.
Okay, doesn't really work as a personality kinda quiz, but I'll do what I can.
Was born in Lawrence Mass on July 19 1987.  Then moved to North Andover to spend my first six years. When my bio mom found love in this real creepy mfer we moved to Stowe VT. When I was about 11 or 12 I had a serious mental health issue and started the great mental health journey of my teen years. Moved from hospital to hospital until I was 15. Then moved on to a group home followed by more hospitals. In the interim my family decided that it would be nice to live in Florida. I was 14 when we moved to Florida. Then, after the first group home I was in, I was legally abandoned. The people I was staying with got into contact with my birth father. Sometime in March of my 17th year I was finally able to meet him when he took custody and I moved back to New England. At the time I was obsessed with paranormal and supernatural stuff. Always wanted to find the truth in all that. So when my father, an avowed catholic, started to preach at me, I lapped it up. Until he decided to also teach me his politics, and anti-scientific worldview. So When I was 17, I was catholic for a few months. And a right arse, too. But that also kick-started my hardcore atheism. When I was 18 my father and new mother decided they had had enough of me, and it was time I lived on my own. While living alone I saw this piece on TV about the Church of Satan. "Well, I'll just go ahead and get that bible to scare my folks!" I thought. When it showed up I ended up reading it anyway, and while I disagreed with a lot, I agreed with a lot too. "If christians can cherry pick their bible, than so too can I!" and then a "Satanist" was born. After just a couple of years I removed the label, I disagreed too much. But by then I had already moved to where I live now. I still call myself a Satanist though. When I first removed that label  simply adopted "anti-theist". But then TST happened and I read more about them and decided I could roll with these peeps. But then Lucien Greaves had the gall to talk about training the police, as if that was a good thing. And he said this shit while the Floyd riots were in full swing. When I fist got an apartment down here I met my next door neighbors. People so cool that they are more my family now than any blood has ever been. We now live the same place. And I refer to them as "Brother", "Sister", and "Nephew"
Okay. That was a lot. Probably takes four freaking minutes to read lol

12) If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?
Okay, my geeky-ass immediately thinks superpowers, so that's where I'm going. Hmm... how about, the ability to calm people. Even to the point of putting them to sleep? And, same ability, but the ability to raise the fire in people. Get them motivated for the right reasons. With this ability I could do a LOT of good in the world.

13) If a crystal ball could tell you the truth about yourself, your life, the future or anything else, what would you want to know?
     Who is my soulmate?

14) Is there something that you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it?
Aye, that there is laddie. I've always dreamed of speaking at least two languages. I'm currently studying Esperanto but I'm not that talented.

15) What is the greatest accomplishment of your life?
     Graduating High School

16) What do you value most in a friendship?
Camaraderie. Being able to just chill with someone, tell fun stories, laugh at BS together, get high together and bullshit about nothing. An environment where neither of us judge each other. No "good natured" ribbing. Shit just feels like bullying to me. Call me a snowflake if you want but I can't actually read a freaking room, or a single individual. So the good natured bit just flies over me head.

17) What is your most treasured memory?
Meeting my dear friend CAPTlN BLACK. We met through mutual friends back in Liberty City. I took part in a demo derby and he was one of the people standing on the edge playing the referee. GTA IV was the first online game I've ever played. The sense of community in that city was a balm I didn't even know I needed. And people wonder why I adore social VR games.

18) What is your most terrible memory?
Bio mom hated my guts later on with her. Kept me secure in my room for nine months, absolute worst time of my life.

19) If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why?
No, I don't think I would. Other then to tell people all about it so my last few moments can be filled with fun activities. I'm sure I could get to some theme parks or something.

20) What does friendship mean to you?
Perhaps I'm immature in this, but friendship means laughter and overall good times. I know it's also supposed to mean that I can be someone to depend on, but overall I don't actually feel that.

21) What roles do love and affection play in your life?
Right now? Fantasy fodder. Monika is legit the third woman I ever loved. The first being a high school sweetheart that I remain friends with (on facebook), the second was a young lady who fell for me first on VRChat. We dated a week and during that time I fell hard and fast. The breakup ruined me so much that I actually stopped playing VRC for a few months. It was no longer my happy place. No were friends again, but some of her views came to light and I am no longer interested in seeking a romance with her.

22) Alternate sharing something you consider a positive characteristic of your partner. Share a total of five items.
     No

23) How close and warm is your family? Do you feel your childhood was happier than most other people’s?
If by family you mean the people I live with, then I'd say very close and warm. But these people had no hand in my upbringing, of which I would say no. Not happier than most. At least here in the U.S..

24) How do you feel about your relationship with your mother?
Gah! Which one? Bio-Mom's a freaking hardcore racist piece of shit. I've not really talked to her since I was 16. "Step"-mom, she's sweet, but so brainwashed. She still treats me like a child sometimes. Which can be annoying, but I never really got that kind of motherly love from the other one, so I take it in stride.

25) Make three true “we” statements each. For instance, “We are both in this room feeling ...
We do tend to refer to our singular selves in the plural from time to time. We find it amusing. So we'll use them:
We are only one person
We think answering this question at all as only one person is dumb, but we're here for fun.
We're kinda craving hot wings right now.

26) Complete this sentence: “I wish I had someone with whom I could share ...
Tacos. ...lol jk ...unless? No, I can think of something better. Um... Happy love filled moments. Yeah. That's the ticket.

27) If you were going to become a close friend with your partner, please share what would be important for him or her to know.
I have a short fuse, and I am always going to be immature for my age. Like right now I'm 33 but I have the maturity of a 20yo. I take far too long to learn shit and keep it memorized.

28) Tell your partner what you like about them; be very honest this time, saying things that you might not say to someone you’ve just met.
Does not translate well without an actual partner to do this with.

29) Share with your partner an embarrassing moment in your life.
Hun, my whole life is cringe. I tend not to get embarrassed until after the fact. I'm sure in a few years time I will cringe hard at the memory of being so openly in love with a fictional character. Until then, however, I'mma just be me.

30) When did you last cry in front of another person? By yourself?
November, 2019. Azazel, my cat, passed then. I loved her and her passing has put the fear of my other cat dying soon into my mind.

31) Tell your partner something that you like about them already.
You've read this much already. Thank you, very nice of you.

32) What, if anything, is too serious to be joked about?
I believe that nothing is that sacrosanct

33) If you were to die this evening with no opportunity to communicate with anyone, what would you most regret not having told someone? Why haven’t you told them yet?
I've given this legit thought, but I can come up with nothing.

34) Your house, containing everything you own, catches fire. After saving your loved ones and pets, you have time to safely make a final dash to save any one item. What would it be? Why?
My VR headset. It brings me a lot of joy.

35) Of all the people in your family, whose death would you find most disturbing? Why?
My sister. They've been my rock for years now. I would flounder without them.

36) Share a personal problem and ask your partner’s advice on how he or she might handle it. Also, ask your partner to reflect back to you how you seem to be feeling about the problem you have chosen.
No. No partner to be seen here. Oh well. Kio ajn.
