when will covid end?

I know many people are already wondering this as well but I figured I might as well put my own thoughts out there as well. I was thinking about this on the bus earlier today, about how the entire pandemic isn't normal. Its not normal to constantly cover your face outside, its not normal to randomly go on lockdown all the time, and yet we're all so used to this. On the topic of lockdowns, wouldn't make sense to go on lockdown now instead of back when the pandemic started? Omicron has been getting so much worse, and now vaccinated people are getting sick. Within the last month or so I've had like 5 friends all out of school and work because of covid. I just miss having a normal life and I wish all of this would be over already.
