The best thing white Americans can do for anti-inperialism

The best thing white Americans can do for anti-imperialism (besides starting a revolution in their country) is shutting the fuck up and actually listening to people living in places they want to save. All the time I see Americans online defending authoritarian regimes hated by local people like Iran's or Russia's goverment just because they're anti-US (in their opinion, irl trump and putin are great friends lol). Politics and history are nuanced and complicated and speaking on places you know nothing about is just harmful. Being anti-US doesn't mean nothing if another goverment commits the same crimes US does. I wish people would take the time to understand the issues with power systems instead of pretending opression is okay under a different flag. Anti-imperialism and anti-colonialism is incredibly important but what I described above is not anti-imperialism
